Leaning Centralist

I will start by saying modern politics is stupid. I say modern politics specifically according to our society you’re either Democrat or Republican, Liberal or Conservative, Far Left or Far Right, etc or etc. In my personal opinion both sides hold some good ideas but being one or the other should not be the end all be all of what your political opinion should be. I mostly get my political opinions from my mom and my friends. My mom was always kinda centralist leaning right, but she also believes you shouldn’t be chained to one side or the other. After having political discussions with my close friends, I figured that I am leaning left. The problem with that is the more political media I consume I start to realize that both sides have good points but not everything on one side is right. I kinda feel embarrassed telling people that I’m a little left because of how they will interpret it, but in reality I’m kind of a centralist. Another problem with being a centralist is that people think you are a complacent lazy dumbass that can’t decide politics for themselves. Wow I guess its so bad I don’t support the 2nd amendment and I don’t support adopting laws from third world countries. Not one side is good.
I always liked to believe that I’ve always been kind of communist. Not in a cringey 2016 kid kind of way but in the idea and how it could actually work on a societal level. I’ve never been much of a material person, I never go out of my way to look all stylish and flamboyant, I’m just myself. I believe that no one person should be homeless unless they self sabotage themselves with substance abuse. I believe the rich should be held accountable to pay more taxes than the middle and lower class do.
